It’s not because you’re a malicious, uncouth hooligan. Things just break when you’re around. When you’re using the Internet, you click on a link, and their servers go down. You try to pay your bills online and your bank gives you free money. Computers suddenly stop working when you try to use them.

Akoha is a Montreal startup that is developing a new type of social game. We’re about to launch a new online and offline social game that will change the world and make it a better place. And we need you to break it.

You are:

• Smart, enthusiastic, and jovial.
• Meticulous and careful.
• Self-directed, independent, and a quick study.
• Familiar with the Internet, social networks, and computers in general. Bonus points if you have or are working towards a degree in this field.
• Excited about working for a hot startup company.
• Comfortable collaborating closely with others in a small team.
• Fluent in either French or English.

You will:

• Start on a one-month contract basis beginning 4 August 2008.
• Work closely with software developers to design and document test plans.
• Test new features and verify bug fixes.
• Build a cluster of Windows and Mac OS X machines to run browser compatibility tests.
